If I'm not mistaken, those are Whelen omni-directional sirens. I know that a few years back, Fargo was trying to replace its system of EOWS*612s with Whelen omnis, either WPSs or OAs. The only other sirens besides those two I've heard of around there are 2001s, a handful of Thunderbolts, and a few xT22s. None of those match the sound of the siren heard though.

That might be in a nearby subdivision or community close to Fargo, because that sounds an awful lot like a Sentry 8-port.

It doesn't really have that raspy Sentry type of sound to it, though it's difficult to tell when it's in the distance like that. Also, the pitch is right on for some Whelens that have a 465hz alert tone.

I didn't catch that this was taken in Fargo. It would make sense because I can faintly hear an EOWS 612 (again I think) in the background. Fargo and a few of it's suburbs do have Whelen omni's. There's one right off the highway (3 or 4 cell) heading north on I-29 in Harwood. I wish Grand Forks had Whelens! All we have is a large system of 2001 SRN's or DC's. I can't really tell because it has the newer intake tube, but I've recently learned that some DC's were made with the newer intake tube. It also doesn't say what time on the rotator box.

Listen to the Sentry in this video, they do sound a lot alike.

Playing both at the same time here, they are identical to my ears.
