There's quite a few videos of newer Whelens and 3016s but only one that I know of of the omni WS 2000 series. So I shot a video of our newly installed WS 2008 durring today's test doing live voice and wail. Excuse the random and jittery beginning, I didn't think it was going to sound, especially as soon as I opened my car door. You'll hear the voice activation tones over my scanner just before the pre-voice alert tone starts up. I'll admit it was louder than I was expecting. This siren was formerly a Millstone nuclear power plant warning siren. We got a total of 6 for free, 2 are currently installed.

This one's on the high pitched side as is our other WS 2008. I've heard them sound slightly lower pitched. I wish I recorded it durring it's 1st test (I was posted at the other WS 2008 to make sure it's voice worked, which it did). Not only did the voice fail to activate do to the encoder not recieving the signal, but it sounded in alert. I forgot to mention, the pre-voice tone I think maybe a custom tone for the town. Has anyone else heard that tone over any voice capable siren before the voice starts up? Also the test announcment is done live.
