I like that they are not reentrant speakers.

But the side-by-side configuration causes cancellation even when correctly phased.

Difficult to believe they have same dB at all four points of the compass
when all are facing only east/west.

Going for the "Ideal". I'd expect four-quadrant-facing speaker arrays.

Their flares seem more artistic than what would be ideal.
A better exponential flare would appear more as Thunderbolt projector, not the extreme flare these speakers terminate into.

About time someone said that. I always thought the flare of Hormanns looked a bit odd, like something I might draw if I messed up drawing a more traditionally proportioned horn. But if they work well, that's what counts.
