Small Siren Tirp

Sun Nov 25, 2007 2:26 am

I decided I would venutre down south and snap some pics today.

Tuscaloosa Co.

This is one of the newer additions to the countywide system.. Probably the last before the 2001-130's started popping up. It's at Crestview Baptist Church in south tuscaloosa.

Hale Co.

This siren is located on the tuscaloosa county line on county line road.

This siren took me forever to spot. Its behind city hall.

This is the final siren in moundville. It's at Howell Field.

Greensboro....
This is the only siren in town. Located at the Fire Dept/

Marengo Co.

Demopolis....
This siren is off of McNamara rd coming into town.

Noticed the controls were really close to the ground

This was the most interesting siren of the day. I noticed it was pretty old and the pole was bent.

Eutaw....
This siren was located on the water tower behind the city complex. This was the first siren I've found mounted on a tower.

I didnt see any controls to the siren but there were wires leading to the siren which makes me think its still working. This siren was also damaged.

Looks like the tornado lost this battle, and the siren survived!

From what it looks like the trees are also bent the some way slightly.
