Jacksonville, FL siren system

For those of us (including myself) that have thought Florida to be a very anti-siren state, I curiously stumbled upon a web site that elaborates on the air raid siren system that existed in Jacksonville, FL, from 1957 to the early 1980's, when the system fell into disrepair:

There are several sad pictures of ThunderBolts that fell off the pole and other rusted Federal Signal sirens. Thankfully, the creator of the site was able to save a ThunderBolt and a Model 7, I believe, from the scrap heap.
