Can 2t22 bearings be inspected and lubed?

No you can't they are sealed bearings.

I'm reluctant to explore. Afraid to remove the rotors for fear I'll cause balance issues.

Afraid to remove the rotors for fear I'll cause balance issues.
Those rotors weren't balanced on the motor. They can be swapped
from motor to motor.

Yeah, bearings shouldn't be hard to replace. Would recommend using SKF or NSK bearings.
