Here are some pics of the hunt I went on last weekend,

There is a fourth siren, but it's buried deep in a golf course

I stopped a woman who was walking by and asked her if she had ever heard a siren in the town and she said that it was in the very tower across the street. I'm not sure what it is but I'm guessing it's one of the Federal Model 2,3,5, or 7.

It's a model 5 with a dense screen mesh put on the outside.

They just put this one in the ground about 4 months ago. Two years ago they installed two 2001's, this year they installed this one, and next year they will install the last one to cover the north side of the town. They've also got an old fire siren downtown.

Is this a model 5 type or a model 2? I can't tell from this angle..If it's a model 5 it's got some great height!! very important. I can't stand sirens mounted on short poles, it's useless..!

That siren looks like a Model 2 to me, which it most likely is.

Yes that is a model 2. There originally was this Model 2 and a 2T22 near the center of town. The 2T22 was replaced by a 2001-SRNB, and I'm guessing the 2T22 is going to be refurbished and moved to a small town. I've never seen a siren around here mounted on a water tower like that, usually they are mounted on the horizontal support beams under the water tank. It seems a bit ineficient with a huge tower on one side, but it's there siren....

You should go up to Huntington sometime. I was just there and actually found 2 more ACA Screamers there. The city has a total of 9 ACA Screamers (I have found 5) and a Federal 2001SRN.

I was on a temp. transfere to Huntington for work last October and was staying at a hotel near that 2001. I never did see any of the screamers, although looking at your map I passed within a block of two of them on my way there and on my way home. If I ever get back up that way I'll try to take some pics. There are 16 sirens overall in Huntington County with 10 of those being in Huntington itself.

Well instead of replacing another Thunderbolt with a 2001 Muncie decided to repare this one. They've replaced 2 Thunderbolt 1000's with 2001's in the past 4 years. This one they decided to replace the entire head unit instead of replacement. The cool thing about it is that this was a 1000, the replacement head is a 1000T. Again camera quality is not the best....but enjoy anyway.
