Model 2 siren in Kingston, WI

Sun Aug 27, 2023 7:54 am

So, a while ago, I was going to film the Model 2 over by Kingston. When I filmed it, it didn't go off. I stopped by a month later only to find that the siren has been removed. Anyone know the meaning behind all of this?

I just thought this would be funny to upload a close up view of the fire station here.

The siren reportedly burned up. They have since approved a quote for a new T-112 siren. We should have it up in the next month or so I would imagine.

Update 9/20/2023: Yesterday, we completed install on the T-112. It is located where the old Model 2 was. The siren will be controlled by Green Lake County, but the village representative was not sure when it would be tested.

Well, that's a good thing. I think it usually does a noon blast every day except Sunday. It's a disappointment that the Model 2 is gone and never recorded though. P.S. I think the sirens in Green Lake County are county-wide tested. I think they're up to the particular town or city. Berlin a Green Lake County city, tests their sirens once a month at 6pm.
