Quebec Siren Map

Sat Feb 11, 2023 4:55 pm

I decided to map out as much of Quebec as I could, and I think this is the most complete map of Quebec thus far. Quebec sure has some oddities, such as unique "Canadian" Model 5s with unique housings, some weird Sterling-like sirens that nobody can identify, and even a H.O.R.

What on earth are Canadian Model 5's?
I have a thing for objects that light up or make noise.

I am thinking this siren at Mont Joli is an ED Bullard double headed siren lacking the coding mechanism of the siren in the black and white photo below

Thanks for adding more sirens to the map Snowpix! originally I only had a few on the map and I was looking at a website to tell me where the old/current fire stations are and trying to find sirens by order of area name in the alphabet.

It's what I call the Model 5s with a custom housing that appear to be only found in Quebec and New Brunswick. They've got cowls with much larger skirts and a taller rainshield than regular ones for some reason, my only guess being better weatherproofing during Canada's harsh winters.
