Ohhh right
Yeah I was at East China where the sirens did not go off and only 1 smoke stack remains as of now on the plant. Unsure what they are going to do with the Alertonic though. Might be gone with the whole plant?
I know Sarnia had 6000Rs but are you talking about an AL-4000? Could possibly be dual tone like the older ones
They're tlaking about this https://www.google.com/maps/@42.7940734 ... authuser=0
Sirens may not be sexy, but they sure work.

The Alertronics (and their ATI replacements) are on their own system. After some major explosions and leaks in the late 90s early 2000s, the city had no choice but to step up, hence the ATI replacements. The ATIs get tested every Monday at 12:30, but I’ve noticed they are showing their age and need more than just routine maintenance.

I am unaware the Alertronics were donated from the U.S. and I can’t find any news articles, but I haven’t been to the library since the pandemic. I believe these old dual tone units to be early models, with no soft start and a long wind down, similar to the ones heard in KodiAc, but higher in pitch.

Nope, the map is incorrect, it’s saying there was an Alertronic in the local skateboard park (which had an ATI installed in 2014). Instead the Alertronic should be in Lions Park (on the corner of Russell st and Bright St, replace by an ATI in 2002. I witnessed the testing of it in 1994, after they fixed the drivers and got it rotating again. I was dead for almost 2 years.

Fixed. Also do you happen to know where the 12th 6000R was by any chance.

Sorry for the late reply, no I was never able to find it. I suspect that it was more likely located some where on the Aamjiwnaang First Nations, but that’s speculation. There wouldn’t have been any east of Murphy Rd because before 1991 that part of Sarnia was a township, later called Clearwater.
