New Pictures(Including siren that started my siren interest)

Wed Jun 20, 2007 1:42 am

Here is the siren that started my interest in sirens. (The first sirens i heard and seen was a Banshee (dual tone) and a model 2 in my hometown of Meriden, KS) It was located 2 blocks from my house (I have since then moved) but every Monday at noon i would hear this thing and go running out of the house to hear it (I would also hear a 2t22 from Washburn U). When i moved i still heard it every Monday because it is located at my middle school. Here is the picture:

In the 2001 roundback picture those "things" hanging from the horn are rubber sidings.

Yeah, no wonder why they've been "killing off" the Thunderbolts...
If your siren is a-failin'
Chances are that it's a Whelen
And if it's just about to die
Then it must be an ATI
