I lost the original video, so I redid it with more of a commentary this time.

Pretty spiffy! I have that exact same weather radio. I may have to do something like that bacause I'm not really a big fan of that stupid eratic hi-lo alarm it has. You'll have to show me how you set up the thing that plays the sound.

It's a 2x20 second voice recording module (electronics123.com) with the output connected to a LM386 800 milliwatt amplifier chip, both running from 6 volts. I can draw up a schematic for anybody that wants it, but I kinda just came up with it in my head. The module came with a small microphone, but I removed it and fed the signal directly from my PC soundcard for a clean signal. (used a 40dB pad to attenute the signal and not overdrive the module). It has two banks for two 20 second recordings. Anywho, I'll come up with info for anyone interested.

Very nice Elliott!

I would be very interested in this information, if you don't mind showing it.

Kewl....only difference aside from no dialogue is the radio. This was due to the alarm output. The older gray radio had a +6 volt out put, whereas the newer white one had a switched output. Same sound nonetheless.
