Mon Apr 16, 2018 6:10 am

The Village of Pewaukee (Not the City of Pewaukee They have no Sirens) Put up a new Siren a Federal 508 to replace a 1920's Sterling M-5 8/16 That still worked. I asked about the old siren it will go to the Wisconsin Municipality Public Auction site in the Future.
Picture removed Photo bucket is no longer a free site.

I hope the Sterling gets saved! I remember seeing a video of it, and she wasn't sounding too hot...

I recorded the old Sterling back in August 2015 (didn't have a tripod back then) here's the video:

Very slow wind up, and the pitch fluctuates quite a bit.
I love Yamaha Music Sirens.

I recorded this siren back around 2008 and it sounded very good like a 10V2T. after years of negligence The motor on it has gone bad sounds like the armature has gone bad. If I can get this one I know of another one of the same vintage year I could use for parts for this one.
