Duo Tone 10v2T

Mon May 14, 2007 9:20 pm

Cool : I like that 10v2T I wish the Long Beach , Ca. Senturys would
have been those instead of the Single tone Senturys they had , but
perhaps thats why ACA Duo Tone screamers were bought also
for half of the City.
In Culver City, Calif. the Alertors looked that
same shade of green in the early 60's as I remember .

The only 812 I know of around here is in Burrton, which is just eight miles to the north of here.

What is the purpose of having long and short horns? Would the siren sound differently if all the horns were one length or the other?

Is that green Allertor still in use? I think it would be a waste out there.

Cool finds. On the page with the 412 pictures there more siren pics as well. 38 pics total of a modulator install with some others as well.

Maybe, but who knows?
My wild guess is the longer horns aim to project sound out further with the shorter ones creating a blanket around the immediate area of the siren. What good it does is probably non-existant. :)

Could be there to make it look unique...
