I'm not sure that they sell the old rotators anymore, but either way, the newer belt less unit will work, RCM just needs a little work for it to use 48 volts instead of 120 or 240 for the rotator. If it's 3 phase then that's a another issue .
That might not be the issue. The gear reducer could've ran out of oil and stripped out/seized. That very well could've been what happened from the way that the rotator gradually slowed down until it finally stopped working at all.Greenfield1003 wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 1:29 pmYou could always order a belt off of ebay or something...
If that's the case, then what would the best option be?Tyler wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 1:32 pmThat might not be the issue. The gear reducer could've ran out of oil and stripped out/seized. Either find another gear reducer to put on it, replace the rotator unit entirely, or replace the entire siren. From an EMA standpoint, more than likely if it is the gear reducer, they would just replace it.Greenfield1003 wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 4:51 pmIf that's the case, then what would the best option be?Tyler wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 1:32 pmThat might not be the issue. Would you mind specifying "it" for me? Is "it" the gear reducer, rotator, or entire siren?Tyler wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2017 5:42 amEither find another gear reducer to put on it, replace the rotator unit entirely, or replace the entire siren.
