Hello everyone ,

I just recently purchased a fire hall that was no longer in service. This siren came with the property and I am looking for any information you guys might have.

I have gotten a few phone calls from other fire companies looking to purchase the siren but I have no idea what its value is. I don't want to over charge but I also want to get a fair price for it. Any help would be awesome!

Also that siren I am familiar with, it was Menoher Heights siren and it also has an 8 port rotor in it too.

I am familiar with one of the companies that is interested in purchasing the siren, that company in Westmoreland County has a siren that has been rebuilt a few times and it isn't going to last forever. Value is very subjective on these things, I had a gentleman in the same situation as you.. he bought an old firehouse and wanted to sell off the siren that was still there (A 2T22).. he was happy to accept $200 for it because it was being placed back in service. Other people think they are made of gold and ask for 1-2 thousand for them, so really the asking price is up to you... if you are happy to know it is going to be placed back in service and warn people again taking a lower offer in the $100 to $300 range is still fair or you can reach for the proverbial brass ring and request $1,000 or more. Most of the departments looking at it probably don't have that kind of money to lay down on a used siren so you may have it for awhile, hopefully this has helped and didn't muddy the waters further for you

Found this siren at a police station. Idk if it is a siten or a radio array. Maybe you guys could say what it is.

That's a Whelen Omnidirectional siren. Most likely a WPS-2802 or WPS-2902.

Gentlemen, I have another quandry for you today

This is an oddity. I cannot for the life of me think this is a stock siren.

It looks to me like they took the horn off an Allertor, and put an oil barrel in its place. The back motor cover looks very similar to that of an Allertor 125.

This will make a fine addition to my "hackjob" list in that case. I can't help but think, fundamentally, the sound output of this thing would be nowhere near the parent allertor, due to the rotor design
