Re: Dashwood, ON siren (Canadian Carter or CLM?)

Fri Dec 04, 2015 5:09 am

If you guys could please quit saying this could be fake that would be really appreciated. I recorded this last night. Dashwood is two hours from here and it took me two attempts to record it. That's 8 hours of driving combined to provide a recording of a very rare siren. Im not too pleased people are doubting my intentions. Especially since I have been sharing quality recordings for years.

Great recording! It's nice there are still older sirens around still in operation. Kind of sounds like an underpowered 2t22!

Yeah that's it there. If you pan right there is a parking lot on the corner that's where I recorded at

Almost positive its the red carter as I posted. Canadian Carter's are almost exclusivity made my CLM, thus its both because its a CLM.

The district chief didn't have any information on it, but it's got to be a CLM. We just haven't had an opportunity to hear this type of model before. I was really hoping it would have had the classic carter sound, but we got something unique instead.

I posted what this siren sounded like in the Canadian Carter thread. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_UaHahArNI. If the chief could get a photo of the control boxes we could maybe find out for sure. My money is on CLM though.
