Its a general rule of thumb not to ask someone how much they spent on something. The issues of people derailing threads is beginning to grow again.... which won't be put up with. Moderators are here and will do their job and step in when it is needed. Otherwise please do not throw the thread off topic, especially with bickering.

I had hearing protection on but I believe it was about as loud as a Model A, maybe a little louder.

What did it take to get it to run or was it just "plug and play"?

I had to remove the parts of the wiring that had bad/broken insulation and strip the good parts. Than I wire-nutted each wire and applied 120v AC and it wound right up.
