Fort Worth Siren Test.

Here's the monthly test from earlier this month. This is one of the newer Vortex units that has the 2030 logic board in it. I had just repaired this unit prior to the test.

Nice work there. I just love how smooth wail is on those 2030s. What was wrong with it?

Sounds very quiet for the distance that you were at... bad drivers or lots of general local noise/activity nearby?

Is this one of the R-3s that was later upgraded, or originally an R-4?

It originally had two dead batteries and a faulty radio, There is no blown drivers in this unit, I was standing about 8 feet from a busy highway so thats why it seems quiet. In person it was quite loud with a punch.

Jeff this one is fairly new and is an actual R-4

..the one by my house is still broken, but I see it grew a ratchet strap. :) Nice video.
