Sireno M-1 Siren

Fri Mar 28, 2014 11:26 pm

I got this Sireno M-1 siren a few weeks ago for $70. It was a very good deal considering that it works and the condition its in. Does any one have any information on Sireno as a company? I can't really find much about them.

how in the world do you get such sirens for such price on Ebay?

On Topic, Sireno's history is very vague and unknown. We know what sirens they made and when but that's really it.

You've got to know how to hunt Ebay. I got the Durasig beacon I gave to FanFan61618 for $24 and my Alusig pedestrian signal for $100 dollars on there. You can also filter the results by putting in a price range and you'll get all of the listings within that price range.

We already know that Sireno was based in Kearny, NJ, at least at one time. They made a lot of sirens, because Ebay always has some on auction. There are a few of these "mystery companies" out there that we've gained more information on. After many years, we've finally learned what H.O.R. stands for (the founder's initials, Harry Ortez Ricci, though he used "Hear Our Roar" in his advertising), and we've learned more about Hedberg sirens of San Jose, the mysterious Clayton Whirlwind sirens of Florida, the very rare Heath sirens from San Francisco, and the very durable Erick Fire Siren made in 1920's Minneapolis. At first you said Ebay. Same situation for your Model A then, too?

That's why you get them for these low prices. Craigslist.
