Heck yeah, +1 for Pawhuska and ASC. More places need them around here.

The only catch? The article is describing WPS-2900s. That probably means they're getting I-Forces and the reporter just used the first "pancake" siren they could find online.
Don't wait. Take a siren photo today.

Awesome!!!!!!!! Whew… Panicked for a sec… County they will probably go to public works who will (Through city manager) be auctioned off. That or they will simply go to a graveyard to rot or be scrapped for spare metal...

Woa Woa Woa Turbo… I am not trying to be mean man… I was just adding to what I said as a joke and… Well… Adding what you stated as another option. I wasn't saying you were being that way. And Savage that is funny.

Did anyone else notice that she said "generator back up"? ATI sirens have batteties, not generators. I've got a hunch they might be sentry's.

On page 2 one of our members said they are getting ASC sirens. Siren companies don't offer generator backup as far as I know, anyway. I do wonder, if someone can answer, how big of a generator would be needed to power these things. I've never really heard of generator backup in the first place. :?

How big of a generator to power an electronic siren? Not much, since the majority of them are DC only and just use AC to charge the batteries.

My 800 watt two stroke generator would probably be more than enough.

As far as the old three phase sirens go, a 10KW-15KW will run the majority of 10 horsepower three phase sirens.
