My Hurricane 130

Sat Oct 23, 2010 5:52 am

Well, after 9 months of countless calls, emails and hardwork. I finally got the Centralia Hurricane. It was the biggest pain in the @$$ to remove, but I did it. The info I have so far is that Centralia bought it along with another 130 and a Superbanshee. This particular siren was bought in 1969 but was put up in July 6th, 1973 on a Microwave tower. Why they put it on such a structure I will never know. This is all I can come up with tonight. As of now it's 1AM in the morning, and the Hurricane will be spending the night on the trailer. I'll be sure to upload photos first thing tomorrow morning. Any questions feel free to ask. Also, a big thank you to Justin Olson (Justinn014) for helping me with this, couldn't have done it without him.

he's talking about the famous square-horned one, the part about the microwave tower is the key.

dude, if you're seriously not BSing, then you're one lucky (or persistent) sumbitch.

oh, and just because I'm like this:
As of now it's 1AM in the morning
as opposed to 1AM in the afternoon? ;)

Awesome. I'm glad to hear that your plan worked out. Guess I'll have to find some free time and drive over to see it one of these days.

That blower is a monster. Is there a data plate on the motor?
If there is what's the HP? Does it turn? Looks like you have plenty of
open space there around you to run it full up. Your next assignment
is to install that horn onto that blower and crank it up.
Hope everything is operational on it.
