If I was American (which I'm not) I would NOT like to live next to that model 3/5/7
Model 3 don't have that Model 5/7 design, the 3s is like a tube with two cone on each other, took me a while to figure out the difference too.

Sorry for the bump but I have an E57, which is only 3.5 metres above the ground and is on a very tiny house. Could be a little bit loud at the test :D

I know it's not in the US but low mounted.

The E57 stands exactly here: 47°46'25.04"N 8°44'6.28"E

It's a Siemens E57
I don't know if it's still active. The village is Hofwiesen, belongs to Hilzingen. It's in county Konstanz. I don't know, how high is it. But on Google Earth you can see, how high is it, when you tilt the map in Google Earth.

That's probably why its mounted low. I did see a French siren mounted on the ground next to a crash barrier. The road was really high, so the installers probably decided that wasn't any point to mount it in a tower.

Speaking of french sirens, there's one in Verneuille-en-Hallate that is mounted atop the city hall. It is fairley mounted low.
I'll try to take pictures of it. Unfortunatly it cannot be seen on StreetView.

That siren has since been taken down sadly, the fire department sits way up on top of a hill so they mounted the siren this low so it would hopefully carry into the valley below instead of going straight out over it, Indiana Township has gone all pager now so the siren was removed when the firehouse was redone.

Even if the station went all pager, the siren should be kept as backup or a storm siren
