The siren is at the radio shop. It has no controls as they will mostly be reused for the sentry. I will check back in on Tuesday. Not sure how we would decide who could get it. I would have to ask the boss.

I would just replace the reflector disc and it’s mechanism with an omnidirectional cone.

Huntsville, AL. Madison County has three other Thunderbeams in service still. There were at least three more but all of those have been replaced.

Current system (will be updated soon with new locations):

Sirens 4 Cities removed the Thunderbeam and was taking it back to Atlanta. It would need a fair amount of work to restore and it would not have been cost effective for us to to do that.
The blue gear assembly apparently was frozen. The whole siren was rusty. It had been refurbished 18 years ago and then installed at the Slaughter Rd. site. I've been looking through records but can't find where its first home was. It may have been Maple Hill Cemetery, but not sure.

This is what we used to activate the sirens when this one was brand new:

That Motorola panel is really cool. Thanks for sharing!

Yep, no problem! We took the last siren off that system in 2001. If you ever watched the old 1970s show Emergency!, that tone was what our individual siren site activation tones sounded like. The whole system was a "Group Test" and was one long tone.
