a trifecta of 2001s with Whelen cabinets
Not to go too off topic, but I had to go look at these for myself. I thought surely we were talking about a Whelen radio on a Federal install. Not at all. They slapped a Whelen Type III cabinet on those 2001s and completely removed the Federal boxes. Never seen anything like it! Nice find!

One of the ASC T-128's in Brecksville, Ohio (at Brecksville and Wallings Road near Cuyahoga Valley Career Center), has a Whelen Type II cabinet on it from before the T-128 replaced the WS-2016 that was there in July 2005. There was an ESC-864 in it obviously for the old siren but after the T-128 was installed, the previous AC/DC line and pole were kept and the new siren mounted on the same pole after the WS array came down, and the installer just retrofitted the ASC controls into the Whelen cabinet. No idea why they did that, but it probably had something to do with money; they may have not wanted a new pole put up or have a new electrical line run to the new siren because it probably was too expensive or something.
