I heard that the service drive tbolt was replaced by a 2001-POS any info on this?

That Thunderbolt was replaced years ago. It's not called a 2001-POS, its a 130, and they're good sirens in my opinion.

Yeah, someone was trying to be obnoxious and called the replacement a POS. Obviously it's not an actual model name.

Not to beat a dead horse but I do want to chime in and say this if I may: I'm actually pretty impressed with the 2001. Has it ever shaken the ground like the thunderbolt has? Not any that I have heard... but like the thunderbolt, these things can take a good salt air beating and still work like they are brand new. The model 2 and unfortunately after a while, the model 5 (even a stainless one) couldn't take the same beating.
Own and love a Thunderbolt 1000 and a Model 5.

I have many hobbies and interests. And I love them all.
