Siren Timer Set-up

Fri Aug 11, 2017 4:06 pm

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum (I don't know much about sirens) and I'm not sure if this is the right area to post, but here it goes!
I work at a scout camp and we have a Galls Street thunder emergency siren that we use for emergency drills (lost camper and severe weather) Everyday at 7am, noon and 5pm we do a short 5 second test of the system using the "manual/thunder" tone. We also may need to sound the manual/thunder tone for minute long intervals. We use a yelp occasionally for severe weather.
I was wondering how I might set up a timer so that the siren goes off for 5 seconds at the mentioned times, everyday.
Thank you in advance for any help/tips!

The only input (aside form the control knobs) would be the horn ring input. I would get something like an event timer with a relay output and connect the horn ring wires to the relay output (you may have to bring in +12VDC into one side depending on the model). Here is an example timer: ... lay+output
