Now vs 10 years ago

Tue Aug 08, 2017 8:50 am

Hey guys, haven't been on here for a while (damn mock exams  ), so I thought I'd come back with an interesting topic.

What do you guys think the state of siren systems is today? Was it easier back then? How different was it? Was there more variety?

The reason I ask is because looking through the board on the old posts (around 2007), it kind of seems strange compared to now.

Thanks

2001s... 2001s everywhere. Most areas at least by me don't even have a nice variety anymore. :(
I have an unhealthy obsession with mini sirens.

Is that a bad thing though? I mean, old sirens are cool in all but a 2001 is simply much more reliable.
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

Depends how you interpret it. It could be bad if you love classic sirens, could be good if you're looking at reliability.
