Archer City TX Thunderbolt 1003

Fri Jul 21, 2017 5:48 am

Several years ago there was a thread concerning the thunderbolt here in Archer City TX. Someone asked where the blower is located. It is located in a storage room inside our EMS building behind one of the ambulances. It is still very much operational. However recently we had some phone company people accidently break a line from the old fire station next door where the control box is to the EMS building where the electrical panel is. For now anytime there is a tornado warning we have to use the toggle switches in the panel pictured to get it to operate. This thing really shakes the building when it's activated. I will post a video of our first Monday test soon. In the meantime here are some pics of the set up. for some reason this stupid phone will not take proper pics. Sorry for the sideway shots y'all.

Wow! I'd always thought that blower would be in great shape. Passed by that siren many times.
