Here's the old FS 3T22A atop the old City Hall in Hudson, Ohio. It was replaced by five (5) ATI HPSS-32's in May 2017 which sound a short 15-second wail cycle for testing (they use the creepy, newer style wail tone instead of the Whelen knockoff or censor beep sine wave tone) on the first Saturday of the month (not during winter) at noon. The 3T22 used to do weekly noon blasts on Saturdays. The ATI pictured is at the Fire/EMS building just a couple blocks from old City Hall where the 3T22 still sits roof-mounted. It is my hope that it is reinstalled in another city in the county one day as it is in amazing condition and sounds amazing, and could easily be retrofitted and used somewhere else, but it's still here for now.
That 3T22 sure is a beaut! Sad that it had to go, but it might get a new life somewhere. Good shot by the way!

Here is a picture I took today of the old Fedelcode Model 2 in Silver Lake, Indiana. It is located near the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Department along State Road 14. As I have mentioned before in my Silver Lake siren map post, it no longer works.

I thought there was a video of it. I could swear it turned on for a second.
That must be a custom housing. No Federal housings ever looked like that.
The last time I visited Silver Lake, which was back when I used to live in Kosciusko County (I lived outside of Warsaw), was back in 2014. I could swear at that time that they had no sirens; at least I certainly don't remember seeing any.

I found the video of it. It is apparently not a Model 2. It sounded like a 12 port siren.

It does not work? I beg to differ.

I corrected myself in my last post on this thread. It has a link to a recent video of it.

Here’s my most recent submission: An FS Thunderbolt 1000BT? at Dale Roy School (1256 Center Street) in Ashland, Ohio.

I saw a break in the overcast weather when the sun came out for less than 5 minutes and grabbed my camera and started shooting pictures. This one was one of my favorites. The school was built in 1954 and this Thunderbolt looks to have been added in the early 70’s?? (the decal sticker was the FS Thunderbolt type although the data plate tag featured the circle F logo, so this one’s probably a late A-series model) likely to give the school warning in case of a Soviet attack. Nowadays it’s part of the Ashland County tornado siren system which is comprised of mostly older Federal sirens (although Ashland has one Darley Champion that may be active), and is tested on the first Wednesday of every month at noon. I left at 9:30 am from the metro area to make the hour drive down here on time (there was construction on the highway so I left early expecting some delays), and got here in time. Hearing my first 1000T sure was awesome and it was on Chopper Level 3 (I’ve only heard a Jailbar single toned Federal Enterprises 1000 on a 6M blower before so this was quite the experience). I took more pictures than this one, which I’ll add later as they’re on my computer as I’m on my iPhone at the moment.
