It would be interesting to see the rcm that came with it. The chopper transformer should be different in a 440 rcm.
Don't have the RCM or any controls. They were removed and replaced with Whelen controls, then those were removed when the siren was decommissioned. All that's left in the control box is a red Whelen sticker and some wires and what looks like a step down transformer of some sort

I have an update for everyone!
I have stripped the paint off the siren, rotator, chopper, and control boxes and today I sprayed primer on everything and did the first coat of paint.

I really do hope you were wearing a respirator when you were using a wire wheel on that. The older thunderbolts like that had lead paint, which is very toxic and hazardous.

I knew about the lead paint and yes we were all wearing industrial respirators when we were working on it, don't worry. :)

What does the gear reducer look like in the rotator? Do you have any pics of it?

Don't have any yet, as a matter of fact I haven't even opened it yet. I'll get a look in it tomorrow morning, thanks for reminding me about that!

I know it has been over a year since the last post, but I am curious as to if there have been any updates since you repainted the siren OP?

No updates really. It's currently sitting in the corner of the garage as a "display" at the moment. Still looking for a blower and controls.
