Siren Craziness In Fort Worth!

That siren in Wichita was not original. It was a 5/6, they didn't have the 5/6 when the jailbar was made.

So, all original Jailbars were 1000s? I guess you learn something new everyday...
All things considered, the Jailbar in this thread is in pretty good shape.

Eh, it's a 20 footer. Looks like it fell one time. One of the doors was pretty banged up and some of the welds on the grid and broken loose.

Here are a few pictures from inside the grid faced thunderbolt, which turned out to be a wasp mansion. They were everywhere inside that siren, even in the motor. There must have been 300+ wasps in there.

I will probably start a separate thread for the thunderbolt soon as I'll be taking it apart to clean out everything and check the chopper motor before i try and make some noise with it.

That would've been in good condition if there weren't so many wasps, but does it rotate fine?

I don't know that I've ever seen an old siren with pretty-looking wiring. Don't judge a book by its cover.
