The rectifier allows it to run off the grid. Otherwise it runs off the batteries all the time.

Bet it'll scream its behind off now with 60+ VDC coming off that rectifier... ;) Even if it does at least they'll run even with bad batteries. It's great to see that they are starting to take better care of the system.

They sure will. You know, I kind of hope that they screw up the wiring in a couple of them so they'll be as high pitched as some of the 2001s you've recorded. Sure would be interesting to hear one scream in 4/2 fast wail.

Yay! The poor 64 sirens is getting the care they need! For that county, I'm happy theres a new EMA director! The only siren on that list that I don't completely has a immediate issue is the one with the bent cover, its really just cosmetic, but its epic the sirens are being fixed!
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

Those zinc brackets were also made in China.

In my opinion, I think there way too many 2001's in Indiana!
