Sorry for the triple post now, but it's official. On Saturday, June 16th, Rhett, Logan and I will be heading up to the SMR-15 in Bixby to get the only CTI recordings known to man. I posted the location somewhere before this, so if you want to meet us there, feel free.

Haha that was kinda the point

And no, I don't think CTI made electronic sirens. But there is not enough information on them to tell for sure.

Unless we could somehow come across proven information I guess we will never really know all the models, names, and whereabouts of any more.

If Ben Shinn is still around, he might be able to answer some more questions.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm still desperately seeking information on these. Here are the recordings from today of the only known SMR-15 that we know of:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VYbJsJZFQk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hu8MalNQ1xA

As you can see it's in pretty rough shape.
This is a 12 port siren.
This siren most likely uses a belt driven rotator like the P-15's, and this one most likely has a worn belt. I bet it's an easy fix, but the city doesn't know that. Probably because there is no information on these at ALL.
According to the brochure on the first page of this topic, this model puts out 128dB at 100'. That is questionable, because Thunderbolts are louder by ear than this thing was.
The models in Okmulgee still are unknown models. I checked the boxes when I was there this summer but didn't see anything.
I read an ancient post last night from a former user that there was a CTI northeast of Tulsa right off the interstate. I've looked on Google before, but I didn't find a single siren right off the interstate. If you know of any locations that I don't, please let me know so I can see if I can record them.
The CTI model in Okmulgee is next on my 'must record' list. I believe they test on Wednesdays, because that's what my mom remembers when she was there as a kid. If you have any information, let me know. And hurry before the remaining two get replaced.

The picture makes no sense. The controls are ASC with the newer logo. The CTI is not battery backup. The only possibility is the siren is a PN-20 which was early 90's siren with new controls. Who ever is going up there please take pictures with a good camera to show the details of the siren, control, size of service, switch, etc.
