Yes Luke did mention that when STL takes down their sirens there might be some 500's. Did federal ever make a 500BT?

Sterling M-5, Sterling Mechanical Siren Timer, Federal Electric Co. Type B, Federal C3 1/2, Secomak VS1, Federal Type A (Coded & Standard), AF Timer, various other sirens \ controls

I would like to put my STL in a 500 deep shroud. Talk about a bad Siren.

Next time I run that thing I might put it in the howler shroud just to see how far it will carry. Bet it would top a p-15.

I believe one of our board members Eric L. has a Model 500SH that he picked up at West Shore Services, Inc., in Allendale, Michigan. The "TT" versions were dual-tone. They were mostly manufactured in the early 1960s - the early 70s.

All of these post are correct. What the abbreviation means is 500 single tone high.

The Model 500SH was a single tone version of the 500, which used an air intake from an STH-10. A Model 500SH TT, is a 10/12 port dual-tone version made in the 1960s.
