Columbia Heights Soundmaster 115's

Mon Aug 29, 2016 7:41 pm

I just saw a Youtube comment saying the 2 soundmaster 115's in Columbia Heights are going to be replaced this summer with 2001-130's. Is this true? I have lived here my whole life and would hate to see them go. :(

Man I hope that's not true; as last year I was contemplating on going to CH for a Soundmaster or the Minneapolis Thunderbolt...should've gone with the former...

Well, they may be using them for parts like what Huntington County, IN is doing with their Screamers. Replace only a couple old sirens, so parts won't be so hard to get. But hopefully they don't lie about what they're gonna do if that's what they're doing. *cough* Elkhart *Cough*
In my opinion, I think there way too many 2001's in Indiana!

There are only 2 so what would they use the parts for? Sculptures maybe? :P

In all seriousness, if this is true (which I really hope it isnt) maybe someone will get them.

If old sirens were being used for parts, then there's no chance of obtaining them.

I am still hoping that it isn't true. If it is, I would at least like to see something other than 2001s. I like 2001's but not when they are everywhere and replace nice oldies like this. It would be nice to see a 508 or t128 for a change.

I am still hoping that this isn't true (same user posted a comment claiming a 2001 DC was replaced despite that I kept telling them it was still there).
