The wind up is slow. Is it running on a phase converter? or is it running on 240VAC? (think it's 240, since they're meant to be 480VAC?) Was the siren receiving more than one activation tone on the radio, since the siren did briefly drop out and then turn on again a couple of times.

Anyway, that sound delay was amazing! How far away were you away from the siren?

Probably just running on 240VAC. It would need one hell of a phase converter to run a motor that big.

You know that sucker's drawing a lot of power running on 240.
Down to a Thunderbolt chopper, still a few goofy flashlight-siren combos, and a Model L.

It's either on 208 or the transformer bank is undersized.
