Sick Federal Model 2 in New Durham, NH

Sat Dec 03, 2016 7:19 pm

Special thanks to the fire department for letting me sound it off! This Model 2 seems to have a bearing issue, as it has trouble getting up to speed.

Sounds like the brushes are going out, the wind down seems too slow for a bearing issue...

Yeah, the brushes have definitely seen better days. Also notice how the pitch fluctuates a bit.

Yea it's either the brushes or even a connection issue. (Like the wires going bad.) I connected my thunderbolt too loosely once and it did that... So I just gave it a tighter connection and boo! Sounded like a charm.
Own and love a Thunderbolt 1000 and a Model 5.

I have many hobbies and interests. And I love them all.
