I heard them last night. The sound is steady and doesn't go up and down like the old 3016s when the they rotate because the new ones don't rotate.

Already they are having problems with the new 2900s.

The wps4000 at Redman and 367 is gone. All I saw was the pole cut off after it was gone.

I expected to hear the voice system tested but they didn't use.

Does this mean the old sirens are turned off now?

In my elementary school the principal would blow a falcon air horn over the PA. They stopped doing that and just used a beeping tone to signal a tornado drill. In high school they rung the bells.

the siren on Redman Rd near 367 still had plastic wrap on the bottom of the control box.

I heard that this morning on the radio they were speeding up the process of installing the new ones and turned some on. We saw another new siren at Redman Rd and 367 near the old bank.
