Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park here in Indianapolis has a system of 2-3 Whelen WS-1000s. One of them malfunctioned and went off for 45 minutes!

Bump but this siren was removed by City Roofing earlier this year. It is most likely in a scrap yard

Sorry for the bump but what exactly was wrong with it? It definitely doesn’t sound like bad brushes or bearings. Was it a problem with the motor itself?
