Re: Realistic Attack Cycle on an Electronic Siren

Not bad, but all electronic sirens should end their cycle by falling to the bottom pitch, not cutting off. Siren drivers can only go so low before issues could arise. They cut off at around 300 hertz to keep drivers going from wearing out too quickly. I believe that Daniel is talking about the lowe...

Re: Realistic Attack Cycle on an Electronic Siren

Not bad, but all electronic sirens should end their cycle by falling to the bottom pitch, not cutting off. I agree, but it could've been just a temporary test to make sure the signal and the siren function as intended. Sort of like how a short check-up test of a mechanical siren may be a growl or s...

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

There's an error on the Ohio map. The "2001-130" in New Lebanon is actually a 2001-SRNB. I have a few locations in Fremont and Oak Harbor I'll share tomorrow once I find their addresses on Google Earth.

Fremont, OH Siren Ambiance

A tornado warning had been activated for the northern part of the county, prompting a siren activation. Since Sandusky County has no Zone-Alert functions of any kind, every siren in the county was activated, including those surrounding my home. This was taken at around 8 PM that night, so it's rathe...

Re: ACA Screamer Variations

First one is likely a Screamer S-2. The second and third might be S-5s, despite being tagged at 7.5 HP (STH-10s were 7.5HP at one point- same situation, but the other way around) The third one is likely an S-7.5; I've never heard of a 9 port S-10.

Sounds like this single phase tin-can (lol) is running on 120, poor thing. Great video though.

Re: B-Series Thunderbolt 1003 picture found

The question arises... where are the solenoid collector rings in a B-series 1003? The place where they are in an A-series 1003 is occupied by the chopper motor collector rings in any B-series. They probably didn't stack two sets of rings on top of each other, the rotator box is the same size as any ...
