Re: Shattuck, Oklahoma Thunderbolt siren

Checked Google Earth's old aerials - wasn't there in 2012, so probably ex-Woodward.

Re: Another Rare Canadian T-bolt

Ah yes, Wakaw. Just about flipped my lid when this was discovered last year. "I'm a bit confused as to why a town the size of Wakaw would go with a siren as powerful as the T-bolt", you say? I believe I can answer that in three words - it was cheap. See, it isn't original to Wakaw. In fact...

Re: Balch Springs, TX new system

Yeah, I passed by one a few months ago and was extremely disappointed. They'd put new Compulert radios on their mechanicals (2001, P-10, STH, RM127) just last year, so this kinda feels like a slap in the face. Nobody ever managed to record that system, RIP.

Re: Are there any more Thunderbolts in Franklin County Ohio?

Newark's 1000 - which, by the way, is a 1959 5M, is active, it just has a busted rotator. The guy who does the work on it is actually on the board - hey guy, if you see this, you might want to let the city know about that!

Ah yes, the Sacremento Bullard. One of our own made a reddit post about it, ABC took notice, and then THAT happened. Truly incredible

Re: Thunderbolt 1003 question.

Welp, I know where I'll be on the 7th. If you'd like to chat, just look for the dark-haired dork standing next to a camera on a tripod. Don't quote me on this, but I beieve if you flip the "modulator" switch, the cam wheel for the solenoids will engage, thereby allowing the solenoids to op...

Re: Ritzville, Wa city sirens. (Model 5A, 9-port Siro Drone)

I really don't think the nine-port thing is a Siro Drone. If anything, it may be one of those old Westinghouse sirens that was speculated upon here many eons ago. https://www.airraidsirens.net/forums/vi ... hp?t=14376 Regardless, it's nice to see more of these floating around.
