Photo of Elk Grove Village, IL ACA Hurricane MK1

Someone on the FB group discovered these images on Elk Grove Village's Facebook page. Look at what's on the water tower! There's a P-50 there now. https://scontent-msp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s600x600/151136704_189485729606839_1321937367258734112_n.jpg?_nc_cat=108&ccb=3&_nc_sid=b9115d&_...

(If this has been posted already apologies, I'm not gonna scroll through 418 pages to look for it.) This one was identified before. IIRC it was chalked up to be a Hedberg. I doub...

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

OK you guys...here's a doozy. Found today in Forman, ND. All I know is that it's dual-toned and has a LOT of ports! https://albumizr.com/a/-Iwm (Sorry I can't directly post them here, the file's are too big) Goof grief, that's a pretty beefy motor under it, too! Looks to be 20/24 port? On the FB gr...

Oh holy hell that is low
What makes matters worse is that it is active. I might record it someday since I live close to it.
It looks like it's a pre-1972 short horn version too, it could possibly be 10/12 or 8/12. If you could record it that would be awesome.

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Whatever it is, it's probably a lot bigger than you guys think, looks like it's at least as wide as a Model 7 going by the area light and speakers below it.

Re: 8 Port model five Questions

You'd need to replace the rotor and stator to make it an 8 port. Federal used off the shelf motors for their sirens so they should be the same. I'd try and trade your siren for an 8 port since it would be easier than hunting down parts. Is yours the dual tone 8/10 like an SD10 or is there a port ra...

IS THAT ON A BATHROOM?
I mean if you're going to put a siren that low it's probably best if it's over a bathroom. When it goes off, anyone under it won't soil their pants since they will already be on the toilet.

I dunno about all you but that thing looks too small to be a Cyclone to me.

Re: All remaining 500s

Here's one that isn't marked on the map. It's 9/12 dual tone.
