Re: Thunderbolt Siren Blowers

So I am new, but I do have a question about Thunderbolt Siren Blowers. I have heard of A1 series blowers. How many types of blowers are there? Specifically, a Thunderbolt 1000T. How can I tell what kind of blower that one has? I have been a Siren enthusiast since 2009. A1 Series Thunderbolts use 6M...

Re: Thunderbolts in existence

Does anybody know if the one right on the Indiana/Ohio border was fixed? I know it was recorded by Bill quite a few years ago and the blower didn’t work. I’m thinking about maybe checking it out sometime over the summer, since it’s the only thunderbolt in Indiana without a good recording

Mount Olive is dead now.
It was actually fixed. Turns out there were just a couple of loose screws causing the issue

Re: Train horn in Pensylvania

Oh my gosh haha when I lived in Pittsburgh my house was literally RIGHT NEXT to that fire station. They blew that horn about 20 times per day and it terrified 2 year old Elizabeth lol

The blower and rotator will most likely run on 3-phase, as for the voltage, anywhere from 208V to about 380V (to be confirmed).

If it's a single phase unit, I'm not too sure but my bets are on 240V.
...maybe I’ll stick with a smaller siren for the time being.

Re: What sirens does everyone own? Tell us below!

Question: if I want to eventually purchase a thunderbolt to run with the blower on occasion, what would I need to look into in terms of electricity. I currently have access to 120 volts for the chopper and rotator but I’m not sure how I would run the blower
