Re: China's Largest Siren Ever "Defender" is Real *video*

It sounds like it has 7 or 8 ports. It sure has a mighty quick linear wind up for a 220 HP engine driven siren. That has me wondering if they are using the engine to drive a generator and blower. The generator powers a motor that drives the chopper. If that's the case then they could control the ou...

No, it sounds kind of muffled from a model 5 like design, but I could be wrong. Just doesn't sound like it with the big horn.

Re: Siren placement

Ok then, so it seems like to me it didn't really matter where, but there were surveys done. It's just alot of siren pictures to me seem awkward why they were put there, because of how much has changed from the 60's and 70's. I was also wondering why civil defence sirens were also installed on fire d...

Siren placement

Back in the old civil defence systems, CLM's and the Los angeles systems, did they care much about siren placement (science behind sound travel etc.) or did they just put small sirens in small areas? I know civil defence did survey's, but not to the extent that ATI and other companies do it, or did ...

Re: Best nuclear siren?

I have a question, why do they name is after miles? And the green color is probably to let you know
its specifically in their system only. A picture would be nice? 8)

Re: Best nuclear siren?

MOD's aren't used too much, and T-128's are usually a very big pick. I think thunderbolts are better in tornado
siren systems and Civil defence systems in my opinion. The 508 is a pretty big siren, but I already know of alot
of nuclear installations using them.
