Here is a video posted by JPa311979 of a Thunderbolt at E. 27th and Longfellow:

Re: New Sirens Going Up In Minneapolis

I do not know who's doing the work. A couple of the city's old sirens were sold on eBay but I don't know what happened to the rest.

Also, White Bear Lake's Allertors are still active.

New Sirens Going Up In Minneapolis

While watching the news tonight, I saw that the city of Minneapolis is installing 7 new sirens to fill coverage gaps. As you may know, their current system is 42 Whelen Vortexes and a Thunderbolt 1000T. They did not say what model the sirens were going to be, but they'll likely be more Vortexes. Her...

ACA Allertor 125 in Richfield, Minnesota

Met up with a couple other enthusiasts on this VERY hot day for this Allertor. This siren, one of 7 in Richfield, is located at Nicollet Park two blocks from the Minneapolis border. Richfield also has another Allertor, 3 different 2001 models, a Thunderbeam, and an SD-10. Enjoy! https://www.youtube....

FS Model 2 Blast, Miesville, Minnesota

Since I was staying at my grandparents' house in Randolph overnight, I went to the tiny town of Miesville, in Dakota County, and met up with Nathan Fox, a local siren enthusiast. He gave me permission to run up the town's Model 2 siren at the fire department! Miesville also has a Federal Signal 2001...
