I have heard some 2001 DCs and early SRNs that sound better than the 2001-130. Never once said I hate 2001s I just think the T-128 is a better choice over the 2001 because the frequency is lower and will carry much farther. Lower sound hertz frequencies are less susceptible to atmoshperic attenuatio...

I didn't have any idea what it was until I posted about it in the Mystery Sirens topic, and I'm still scratching my head as to why there's an HOR in the middle of a city full of Thunderbolts. I have yet to find any other HOR sirens in this area, though I know they're fairly rare. Well now there's a...

You would not be able to see the EPA T-bolt from that property anyway as it is on top of the building, but it can be seen from the north end of the campus looking across MLK. Best place to see both of them is the walkway in front of Dabney hall near the Shoemaker Arena.

It would be cool if you could get the one on the EPA building on the other end of the campus at the same time. You can see both of them at the same time from the campus.

http://www.wlwt.com/weather/27616969/detail.html CINCINNATI -- Sirens awoke many Tri-state residents Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, as a line of strong storms whipped through the area. But some residents complained that the early alarms amounted to "crying wolf," as some count...

Unless it used for flood warnings or a hazardous chemical spill. The zoning idea is kind of silly anyway. As unpredictable as severe weather can be , the county should be warned as a whole. They should start using attack signal for tornado warnings only and leave the Alert cycle for severe storms an...
