Re: Sacramento E.D Bullard siren going off.

I am very happy I was able to work with a reporter from Sacramento to pull this off. I owe this all to John Bartell, ABC10. He reached out to me After I made the Reddit post and the siren I expressed the most interest in was the Bullard, so he focused on that. It will be a story soon.

Re: Brief Whelen History

Amazing post! Another notable system to use the WS-3000 was Tulsa.

Since the WPS-2720 isn't in documentation, any idea what the deal with the one in Rosemont is?

Federal Signal "Thundermod" Modulator 4016, voice & alert - Nichols Hills, Ok 2/23/19

A very windy day boys but I finally did it, I got a video of Nichols Hills WITH voice. But that isn't it, these modulators are now programmed to sound like a Thunderbolt on level 6! It sounds absolutely amazing.

interesting design.
you would think it would run off of the same volatage as the rest of the controller, but it doesnt.
I haven't actually tested it on 24V yet, but the fact the fuse immediately blew on 12V concerns me. Possibly a bad board?

Re: 2 classic ATI controllers I acquired.

2 classic ATI controllers I acquired.

Recently I acquired a Federal Signal MC, and along with that, the guts of two classic ATI controllers. The ATI controllers are from Baytown, Texas. From what I can tell, the controllers(or at least the amplifier sets) are 24V. They each have 4 400W amplifiers, 1 of them has a single amplifier labele...

Dang, that's unfortunate that they are just leaving them to rust.
Fiberglass doesn't rust. In addition, the video on the (second?) article says they will be taking them down.

Re: JB Weld Ain't Gonna Fix This One: Columbus, GA 2810 Eats Dirt

Ouch! I've seen sirens getting plowed down by cars (was it Kendallville? Argh can't remember for the life of me)... Yes, it was the Kendalville 2001-130, which was replaced with a 2001-130. Any video or pictures of the 2001 that got knocked down? The 2001 wasn't knocked down, it was heavily damaged...

Just chiming in, whatever is pretty or ugly is all just subjective.
