Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

It does aggravate me. But I get it. They don't want trespassers trying to take things that don't belong to them. Also, you never know. They could be hiding it just for safekeeping so people don't go and take it. I think when they said that its no longer there and that they scrapped it, They were co...

Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

Bad news. I heard back late at night from the other owner. They said they scrapped it as quickly as they could after people were trying to look for it. That really aggravates me. That siren had more value to it than scrap (at least to people like us). I’m sure some of us would have paid good money ...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

The Massie Township Thunderbolt 1003 at the Massie Township Fire Department should be operating now if anyone wants to get a video of it. I'm told it keeps tripping a fuse in the breaker occasionally, making it inoperable. I'm not sure why it's doing this, but I'm not shocked since it was installed...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Well the second to the last Franklin County Bolt was scrapped. The last siren is installed on a building somewhere in the county and is destine to be removed at some point, probably next year. The condition of the scrapped bolt was bad. It was CUT down and was cut apart to take it down. The rotor g...

Ok If I followed the diagram properly, Wire one 120 VAC goes to 9 and the other goes to common?
If I did't do that right Im a airhead LOL
Sounds like you had it wired improperly. The positive and negative ends of the power cable go to terminals 8 and 9.

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Oh my gosh guys! My jaw just dropped when I came across this. This image right here, without a doubt, confirms that Wilmington definitely had at least one Thunderbolt! I searched for the Clinton County GIS imagery at the suggestion of Kurt, and I saw this image from 2003, and my mind was just blown!...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

I just checked out another couple of angles from 1996 around Denver Elementary School and it's (in my opinion) undeniably a Thunderbolt. If only there was an image of the back of the school from before 2004 that would show this object in the background. It just looks very much like a Thunderbolt and...
