Re: HOR Model 50

I have a 40hp 10/10 port siren like yours from Phoenix. Both motors are Westinghouse brand and the siren is in excellent condition. I'm pretty sure the 10/10 port siren is a lot louder than the 9 port, the rotors are a lot wider. https://i.imgur.com/kn0l2NH_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fid...

Re: Beaufort county, SC (Hilton Head island) new mystery sirens

The new sirens are going to be solar and supposedly have a range of two miles. I'm thinking Whelen, probably Vortexes.

Re: Narrow Banding an older Federal FC controller receiver

How old is the FC board? The earlier ones had the radio built into the board and they didn't work on narrowband. The later models use the "silver box" receiver in the upper left corner of the board, and the mid 2000's model receivers are notorious for going out of alignment and failing. I'...

Re: St. Charles, Mo. ASC T-128 sold to Winfield, Mo.

I fixed the rotator on said siren, the problem seemed to have occurred when it was installed in Winfield, chopper polarity was mixed up. From what I could tell it seemed to have worked fine before they replaced it.

Re: ACA Allertor 125 Questions

Set commander up to send out an extra DTMF string in addition to the existing activation protocol and I'll throw a radio in with the sirens, that way you don't have to deal with the DCFC.

Re: ACA Allertor 125 Questions

If you're looking for some refurbished sirens I've got a lot of Thunderbolts and 2T22's that I'd be open to selling.

Re: Phase Converter/ Motor Question

You're not gonna be able to run that kind of a load on a generator that small. A phase converter of that size needs something along the lines of a 100 amp service running to it. You're also going to need a bigger phase converter motor to run that STL-10, at least a 20 or 25 horse motor, a 15 isn't g...

Re: LRAD may be installed in San Jose

I wouldn't down them on refurbing the old sirens, they can probably get most of the parts they need for them.

Waynesville's are abandoned in place, they quit using them a a couple years ago after a few of them got destroyed by lightning.
